Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Since 2018, Subaru has partnered with TerraCycle.  Participating Subaru retailers collect hard-to-recycle trash that was headed to local landfills. We collect approximately 2 tons of this hard-to-recycle trash monthly, which will be converted to furnishings and other usable items and donated locally.

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 277,600 award-winning science books.  In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and we supported teachers and students with donations of S400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.

Roy Robinson Subaru Supports Cancer Patients  –  Shauna M

On July 3, 2019, Roy Robinson Chevrolet-Subaru partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to spread hope, love, and warmth to those fighting cancer. General Sales Manager, Robb McCalmon, arrived at the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with cozy blankets, arts and crafts kits, and cards filled with messages of hope for patients. Robb was warmly welcomed by Marilyn Birchman RN, MSN Regional Director Cancer Services and Research, Gerald Vasquez, Director, Radiation Oncology, Olivia Stephens, Stewardship Officer, and Kim Thompson. This generous gift delivery has become a tradition that both patients and staff look forward to every year. Thank you for being such caring members of our community and furthering the LLS mission of ending blood cancer and improving the quality of life of patients and their families.

Shade on way for Marysville's Rover Dog Park  –  Douglas B

Marysville’s Strawberry Fields for Rover Off-Leash Park has plenty of features to indulge dog lovers and their pets, but shade isn’t one of them. That could change soon. Roy Robinson Subaru partnered with park stewards Marysville Dog Owners Group to raise funds for a covered shelter at the city-owned park. During April, the dealership donated $15 to M-DOG for every new Subaru sold, raising a total of $2,190. M-DOG president Doug Buell was thrilled and grateful with Subaru’s contribution. It will be enough, working with Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation, to bring shade to a park that tends to get hot in the summer with few places to take cover. “Roy Robinson Subaru has been a big dog-loving supporter of the park, they’ve donated a park bench, and they were a key sponsor and vendor at Marysville Poochapalooza during the dog festival’s 12-year run,” Buell said. General Sales Manager Robb McCalmon said they have been happy to help. “We have enjoyed our partnership with M-DOG and Strawberry Fields for Rover for over a decade now, and we appreciate the time and effort Doug and Leslie and their group devote to M-DOG and our local dog community.”

Save-A-Mutt & Roy Robinson Subaru - Must Love Dogs  –  Jennifer W

October 2018 found our Snohomish County dog rescue Save-A-Mutt and Roy Robinson Subaru partnering up for a fun adoption event called Must Love Dogs! The team at RR cleared out their lobby and pens were set up as a place for adoptable dogs to play. We had puppies and senior dogs - our speciality! RR Subaru was so very supportive, even having adoption kits ready to go home with every dog. Staff and visitors made donations of pet food and supplies that will help our foster dogs. Roy Robinson set up a hot dog stand, a very popular ice cream machine and other snacks and drinks. Their team was one of the most helpful and responsive to helping us set up, love on the dogs and share their friendly attitudes. We were a little overwhelmed with the number of visitors to this first time event, and happily, every dog at the event was adopted either that day, or a few days later. Two employees at RR even adopted from us! It was wonderful. Save-A-Mutt will definitely be back... 'Must Love Dogs' seems to be a shared value!

Poochapalooza 2018  –  Robb M

Roy Robinson Subaru was happy to once again support and participate in Poochapalooza 2018. We truly love this annual event, hosted by the Marysville Dog Owners Group (M-Dog) for the past 12 years. Roy Robinson Subaru was able to raise a little over $250 for M-Dog from the sale of engraved dog tags. Cindee Lyons (a great Roy Robinson employee, and dog lover) and her friend Valencia Mcnair were gracious enough to donate their Saturday to staff our Roy Robinson Subaru tent for this event. They were there to welcome the dog's (and their owners) to the event, with special treats for the dog's.

Roy Robinson Subaru Partners with LLS For 4th Year  –  Katie J

On Tuesday July 10th, Roy Robinson Subaru in partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the third year to deliver blankets and arts and crafts kits to cancer patients and kids experiencing cancer at Providence Hospital in Everett. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society exists to find cures for cancer and improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. These blankets bring comfort during cancer treatment which can be a very uncomfortable experience for cancer patients. Thank you again for your care and compassion for the patients at Providence and thank you for helping the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fund local life-saving research to beat cancer and provide programs and services for patients in Everett and beyond.

Providing comfort for patients at Providence  –  Jennifer C

On the morning of July 10th, 2018 Roy Robinson Chevrolet-Subaru & RV Center delivered dozens of cozy blankets for patients at the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership. It was a wonderful surprise when they unloaded cases of fun art and coloring kits for our pediatric patients at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett too! Roy Robinson Subaru Supports Local Cancer Patients  –  Anne G

There's no better way to start off a work week than to make a meaningful impact on cancer patients and their families, as Robb McCalmon from Roy Robinson Subaru did on Monday morning, July 10th. With his car packed to the roof with boxes of blankets, craft kits and cards filled with encouraging sentiments collected from Subaru customers during the month of June as part of the Subaru Loves to Care campaign, Robb joined LLS Executive Director Anne Gillingham in presenting these gifts for cancer patients to representatives of Providence Hospital Everett. Pictured L to R are: Robb McCalmon, General Sales Manager, Roy Robinson Subaru; Marilyn Birchman, Regional Director Cancer Services/Research; Kelly Mardesich, Clinical Practice Manager; Gerald Vasquez, Director, Radiation Oncology, Anne Gillingham, Executive Director, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Robb noted that his dealership has had a long and meaningful relationship with Providence Everett and that they're pleased to support the hospital in this additional way. Marilyn noted that patients will enthusiastically welcome these blankets as chemotherapy infusions often result in patients feeling chilled. Kelly noted she intends to include one of these blankets in each new patient welcome bag, full of items used to help patients be more comfortable throughout treatment. Everyone in attendance agreed with that goal and was happy to be part of it.

Share the Love  –  Brady D

Local Roy Robinson Subaru dealership is donating $39,264 to the Make-A-Wish office of Alaska and Washington as part of Subaru's "Share the Love" event. As part of the "Share the Love" event from Nov. 20, 2014 to Jan. 2, 2015 customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America. The local Roy Robinson dealership has participated in the program since its inception seven years ago, said general manager Mark King. Subaru of America selects four national charities that customers can donate to, but starting in 2014 local dealerships were allowed to select a local charity that customers could donate to. This is the second year that the Make-A-Wish office of Alaska and Washington was chosen by the local dealership. "Three years ago we sponsored a Make-A-Wish child named Josh who lived in the Lake Stevens area. We basically picked [their foundation] because of a past experience like that which went well," said King. King's wife has been a volunteer for their office as well. "She was the one working with Josh. So our dealership already had a relationship with their office that way," said King. It has become a popular program at the local Roy Robinson dealership, said King. Last year the program brought in $14,000 for the local Make-A-Wish office and this year about $39,000. "When you get a three-fold increase in customer response, that's always a positive," he said.

In 2013, were able to raise over $14,000.00 for this great charity and we are hoping that 2014 will bring even greater dollars.
